Bonnie Wright Oxfam Fashion Shoot!!

Looks like Bonnie is going to be the face of her parents new jewerly line with Oxfam:

Gone are the days where the local charity shop was just a place for cheap purchases that carry short term value in times of financial desperation. Oxfam’s celebration of a two-year collaboration with high-end London artist jewellers, Gary Wright and Shelia Teague is full of love.

Charlotte Marland writes. In today’s market, the charity shop is the perfect place for a vintage fashion fix and amongst these retro treasure chests Oxfam started to move one step forward into the world of brands.
Moving away from their usual collection catering for those in London’s spotlight, Wright & Teague has now adapted Oxfam’s ethic ethos and produced an exclusive collection of covetable silver jewellery, handmade by the fair trade producers at Noah’s Ark.


Breaking from her preparations for the Oxfam fashion shoot – starring the collaborators’ daughter, Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright – Sasha describes the company’s efforts as, “aiming to be all inclusive”.
“We are targeting everyone, so we need to target different people in different ways”.


Priced at the still affordable range of £80-£255, this collaboration means Wright & Teague lovers can now purchase brand products at high street prices.


Sasha recalls how quickly Oxfam has been to react to the changing perception of charity shops, being the first to set up an online boutique and bring in professional stylists to separate the best pieces for resale, and it is clear from their presence at the exhibition that they remain the charity of choice for the fashion conscious. “We are aiming to be a benchmark for charities. People are really starting to take note of what charity shops can offer”.


This jewellery range has already emerged as one of Wright & Teague’s most impressive partnerships, along with other big names including Swarovski, V&A, British Museum and numerous commissions for film and television. But despite all these big names the company still remains a family business, taking artistic ownership of all the intricate details of the complex designs and the sourcing of the materials, such as using ethic threading in lolite, peridot, onyx and lapis to create a muted green and blue pastel colour palette.

Sasha proudly describes the range as “keeping the traditional African element but updating it with a contemporary Western feel”.

It's more for Oxfam though. Not her parents. Oxfam are the ones doing the shoot. That's GREAT! It goes with her whole ethical fashion thing! That's so cool of her and her family to help support Oxfam's cause!!

I don't know if its for all of Wright & Teague jewerly. It seems like from the article its for the new jewerly line they're doing in partnership with Oxfam, ethical jewerly.

But it's not for THEIR business. It's for Oxfam, which promotes ethical fashion and gives money to charity. She's modeling her parents jewelery but it's not really to help them it's to help Oxfam.

I know she is the face for this collection lol. what i mean is why their parent don't make her their product face cause i think it will do good to their bussines. But may be they don't need it, cause thay have doing well in their bussines so far without it.

Eery: I don't think they will do something like that, they are well without it. And she's using it in events and some photoshoots. And plus, Bonnie is just starting to get known as Bonnie Wright and not as Ginny Weasley.

I have no idea to both questions. Though I'll admit those earrings do look familar. She might have worn them before.

Right... being in a photoshoot is going to be SUCH hard work for her. How kind of her to give up her precious time to help all those poor starving people that oxfam support.

^ I wouldn't say she's very involved with this project, but I think its cool that she's doing the shoot. Makes it a bit of a family project.

Though I do think RaenHD10 meant that Bonnie's really involved with projects that are green. She's the ambassador of the Made-By brand, she was involved being a judge for a t-shirt contest for Made-By and Edun, and now she's working The Guardian for their yearly Observer Ethical Awards.

That's great news!! I always wondered why her parents never took advantage of her popularity to promote their jewelry business. I mean, they have a section in their website where they show all the press where they have been featured. They have pictures of photoshoots whose models wear their jewelry, and we all know Bonnie wears anything but her parent's jewelry, so they could have included in that section pictures of her at different events wearing jewerly from Wright & Teague. Wright & Teague made it even to the Baftas. That's something you could boast about!!
