Emma is clearly trying to make a statement regarding her fashion week appearance. She has probably been advised that the best way to attack the fashion industry as a budding icon is to appear in high profile events and make yourself known to all the fashions mags as well as the designers as all the vogue/instyles are documenting each celebrity ensemble and establishing them as a topic of discussion/fashion in future. I think her stylist is the mastermind behind emma stepping seriously into the fashion world. She's not doing this just for fun folks.

Trying to be well known in the fashion industry & going to fashion related events doesn't mean that she wants to be a model.
She's in a way trying to make a name for herself outsife of HP and 'Hermione'. However, if that were to happen, she'll be a lot more like most Hollywood actresses who aren't really going anywhere in their acting careers with a little movie here and there but really they mostly like to show up to all the fashion week events to get publicity. Emma needs to take a break though, it's starting to show that she's really tired from all the running around, not a very appealing look in this event from the pictures shown so far.
