i found this on a harry potter tumblr:

Rachel Earmshaw, ABC celebrity reporter caught up with Tom Felton and Emma Watson at the Rennie’s hotel for a nice cozy chit chat-both professional and personal. She calls it “When Evil Meets the Good”………… here’s what they have to say.

Rachel: So, you guys are finally in town for the promotion of your movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at the CCRCR opening? How are you all feeling?

Tom: Nervous.

Emma: Over-excited and nervous. This is the first time we are only going to represent the entire cast members in front of the entire World.

Rachel: So how do you feel that HBP has gained so much success and the critics loved it a lot?

Emma: A good movie always gives me immense pleasure, especially when I’m a part of it. This success meant a lot to me because the book had got such acclaims for its novelty and poise and how we portray it on the screen mattered a lot. Now that the film kicked off a brilliant start, I feel great.

Tom: Especially my character, because this time Malfoy wasn’t just a bully, he was in a mental conflict with his sentiments and decisions. So for me it came as a challenge. Usually these films just look good but when they do well, both financially and entertainment wise, its really good.

Emma: Absolutely.

Rachel: Just rewind on the moment when you both realized that you were going to be a part of this big budget Warner Brothers Production which had the element magic in it…………

Tom: More than myself, my parents freaked out. They started jumping, my dad, he’s with theatre and he felt happy that his good-for nothing son (laughs) actually got a chance in a negative role like Draco Malfoy, haughty and arrogant.

Emma: Female lead was something I never expected. For me it was like reaching for the stars. But I guess, I was worth it. I was up against many girls, all exceptionally talented, there was one Susan Davis, whao had previous experience in thetres and she was up against me in the finale. But somehow the director had a look on me so I was like hmm…….(smiles).

Rachel: So fans. They sometimes tend to be a huge tend to be a huge problem, like Tom and his hair incident and Emma’s dress…….

Tom: (bursts out laughing) Why do you have to remind us all about those incidents?

Rachel: (smiling) Last time, just explain us in detail…….

Tom: Okay, okay. It was for a promotional party. I was boarding the car and just as I put one of my foot inside the car, a crazy female fan came thundering towards me crying out loud, “Tom! Tom!Wait!I have to talk to you.” And following her were many other fans. That seemed frightening because you know how female fans are….

Emma: (smiling) Exactly, how are they?

Tom: (hugs Emma) Reversed male ones.

[All start laughing]

Tom: And I was like oh! no! And I quickly tried to get in but that girl caught hold of my hair and pulled me towards her. I didn’t know what to do. It was sickeningly surprising.I merely told her to let go off me as I was getting hurt, but she got her grip firmer by the second. And finally when she let go off me, her hand had got a lot of my hair and just do not ask me about my hair style.

Rachel: And Emma, tell us about your day out at the mall.

Emma: (laughing) Well, all I can say is that my experience could not have been worse than Tom. It was during Thanksgiving. My mom usually shops for her new season outfits which she take it to court or maybe a tour. So this time, I decided to shop for her instead like she shops for me. It happened in Urban Wears….. I wanted to get in something on red or intoxicating brown or lolly yellow.I was all in disguise, afraid someone may just call out, “Emma!” But, unfortunately, the perfect dress I had picked up was actually reserved for an old lad. I tried to convince her that it meant a lot to my mum, but she, on the other hand, told me that young stars like myself were not to mess with old ladies. Finally I got another coat for mum.

Rachel: People get a very weird view when you start pairing Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger but how is the chemistry between Tom Felton and Emma Watson?

Tom: (blushes) Considerably great. Great best friends and will remain so forever and always.

Emma: Absolutely. We are like two trouble makers and budding kids.

Rachel: But considering your past relation……..

Emma: (irritated) I don’t think its time we discuss about that………

Tom: It was once upon a time.

Rachel: Come on guys, be a sport!

Tom: (turns to Emma) Not that I can stop you.

Emma: Keep trying.

[All burst out laughing]

Emma: When we dated each other, naturally we were in love and tried to understand each other closely and we succeeded. Looking at the die hard heart throb he is, it was difficult going with him to different places just so we can spend some quality time together.

Tom: But we had the best of time when we were together, and roght now, we are enjoying even more.

Rachel: Not trying to be rude and all, but is it true that you once took Emma on a dinner date to Paris and it did not turn out to be so romantic……..

Emma: (shocked) everyone knows about it!

Rachel: We are the media remember?

Emma: But its personal.

Tom: I think we’ll spill the beans this time Em. They already know quite a lot about it.

Rachel: (smiling) I look very dumb on screen so could you please get to the crispy part, I’m dying to hear all about it.

Tom: (looking at Emma) Well, maybe Emma should tell.

Emma: (smiling) Well, I don’t really remember the date exactly, but it was in the month of Christmas. Tom had promised me a lovely dinner date in Paris for which I had always grumbled and since we were not fully known grown ups, Tom’s distant aunt Merry decided to accompany us to Paris. It was absolutely okay with both of us because she was merry, like her name.
[Tom laughs]
And we went to Chez Paris, its one of the best restaurants in eastern Paris and believe me the food was wonderful, we had all the variety of cheese there is in this world mixed with a delicate cream.

Rachel: Must have been yummy?

Emma: amazing! And we had lot of things there and just as we were about to pay the bill and leave, we realized that we were some money short of the total expense. Tom freaked out, because it was his contribution. I did not have enough to pay the bill. So basically, we had no other option but to phone aunt Merry and tell her about this and pay the bill.

Tom: I had the money but we had to get back to the hotel as well…..
[Rachel laughs]

Rachel: That’s what you call an ideal unromantic dinner date.

Tom: Sort of.

Emma: Absolutely.

Rachel o do you ever talk about that day, or the past days when we could actually say “Tom is dating Emma”?

[Silence prevails]

Emma: Well Rachel, to be quite honest and not modest, we do. We do recall some such happy moments like the time we went out together or the times we had to hit the malls and theatres. But I’ll tell you one thing, even though we had broken up, it was one of our best decision to be together. We have been the best of friends, I consider Tom as my second self and I still love him as my bestest friend ever and I know he’ll be there for me…..
[Tom hugs Emma]
….for me till the end. even though we have separate commitments, we’ll treasure those moments forever.

Baby, look at her now! With Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince hitting Sky Movies Premiere / HD on October 22, “Sky Movies Magazine” chats...

Baby, look at her now! With Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince hitting Sky Movies Premiere / HD on October 22, “Sky Movies Magazine” chats exclusively to feist female wizard Emma Watson and, over the page, her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, about growing up in the spotlight, the perks of fame and what comes next …
Hermione is “the ultimate girl”, according to the woman who plays her.
Emma Watson’s come a long way since she first popped up on cinema screens as Harry Potter’s angelic (albeit precocious) school chum in 2001. With six record-breaking “Potter” films including October’s Sky Movies premiere “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prine” under her belt and the final duo, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and 2″ opening in November this year and July next year respectively, the 20-year-old Watson has been ferociously productive. You’d expect her to hae time for nothing more than wand-waving.
But you’d be wrong; while Hermione Granger is without a doubt the brains of the trio, she’s by no means the only one with smarts. Hard-working Emma’s gone from “Potter” to A-Level success and is now studying at Brown University in the U.S.
If that wsn’t enough, she’s become quite a fashion icon. Gone is the gawky teen and, in her place, a sophisticated young woman rarely abesen from the catwalk front rows. She’s even tried her hand at modelling, picking up a contract for fashion line Burberry.
Today, Watson is back modelling the Hermione Granger: Outdoors collection. As security keep a careful eye out for tabloid snappers, we catch up with her and the rest of the “Potter” cast on a freezing day of filming in Burham Beeches.
Taking a break from the lends and the endless carpet of fake snow for a chat and the chance to duck into the warmth, Watson is as easy to talk to as she is serious about what she does. What’s clear is that she’s loved every minute of the journey so far but, with so many options in fron of her - acting, fashion, academia - the starlet is undecided about where her future will take her …
Do you feel like you’re at the end of a journey?
I feel really pressured because I feel like this is my last go, my last shot. I don’t want to have any regrets. I want it to be the best performance I’ve ever given. I want to know that I’ve done the best that I can possibly do. It’s really strange.
Are you thinking about what you’re going to do after?
I really think I need to recharge my batteries and go and be me for a bit.
Will you carry on acting?
I really don’t know. I think I need to find some real belief in myself away from this. I know I can player Hermione, but I don’t know … we’ll see.
When did you find time to study?
It’s something I really wanted for myself. If you want something enough, you make time to do it. I’d do most of my reading when I was sat in the make-up truck. I’d sti and write and I’d have my laptop on my lap and I worked weekends. It was exhausting. But it’s so worth it, I’m so proud.
What were the challenges involved in making “Half Blood Prince”?
There’s a lote more to do with the relationshp between Hermione and Ron. Hermione got very serious in the last couple of films so it was really nice to get to do some funny bits with Rupert and he’s great at that. Hermione’s the ones who does all the thinking and planning. Sometimes I look at her and think, I can’t believe she doesn’t just collapse … You must be so bored of hearing us say, “They’re getting darker,” but it is going that way!
Do you have a favourite scene?
The Quidditch scene with Ron. I couldn’t believe how funny it was, he just killed me. I couldn’t stop laughing. Having said that, it was my favourite to film - it was one of the coldest days of the year and we were out there for hours!
How do you think you’ve changed over the course of the series?
I’ve changed a lot in some ways and not a lot in others. I’ve gone from the age of nine to 20, so that’s 10 years. I guess I’ve become a lot more comfortable with filmmaking. It was all so new to me but now it’s just second nature. It’s got to the point where I am able to be much more creative with it. I know the character like the back of my hand.
Do you always keep the “Harry Potter” books close at hand?
Yeah, I love [Rowling]’s work. I’ve always loved the books. I’m the first person to say, “This is not as good as it’s written in the book.” I’ll be the one saying, “This line’s much better, it’s in the book!”
Do you have a favourite?
I love the third one. I just remember my dad reading it to me and I loved it. It’s also my favourite film and it was a great part for Hermione. I had a part that I could really get my teeth into. I like the tomboy aspect of Hermione, that she was part of the action.
What do you like about Hermione?
She’s got a heard of gold. She’s the first person to sympathise with anyone in opposition to her. She’s so determined, loyal and she’s such a strong girl … woman! She’s the ultimate girl.
How have you coped with being in the public eye?
I used to live in Oxford, but now I live in London so that I can be closer to the film sets. The commute was just crazy. Since moving to London I’m starting to feel that tension when I walk out of my door. “Harry Potter” has such a high level of interest, anything - even if it’s nothing - is news.
Did you think it would be this big?
Even if producer David Heyman has known, how do you explain that to a nine year old? I was so naive. the first time someone asked me to sign a book I thought it was the weirded thing ever.
Which of the big famous actors have you bonded with the most?
I found that a lot of actors are involved in art - something I love and I did for A-Level. I ended up talking to Alan Rickman because he went to art school, so did Robbie Coltrance and Chris Columbus and Judi Dench. And I really got on with Emma Thompson. I also loved hoe she was so down to earth, so normal and so kind, and she doesn’t ignore anyone and pays attention to everyone from the sound guy to the director. I really loved her to bits. Maggie [Smith] is an absolute sweetie. She sends me chocolates and a note at Christmas.
What about J.K. Rowling?
She has more imput in the films now that she’s stopped writing the books, but she’s so busy. She’s got a family and she’s writing and everything. She’s more involved now, which is really nice and whenever I see her I get on really well with her. She’s really funny - very, very witty.
Is she much like Hermione?
Definitely. You can see it. She’s so clever!
